This policy explains how the Refer & Earn program works: who can take part, how a referral is tracked, and when and how a reward gets paid. By joining the program or submitting a referral, you agree to what's set out below.
In this policy, "I", "me", and "my" refer to Oluwabusayomi Adebayo, operating as Busayo Adebayo. "You" and "referrer" mean the person who joins the program and shares a referral code. "Referred client" means the person or business you refer. This policy sits alongside my Terms of Service, which continue to govern any project I deliver.
The program is open to anyone with a valid email address — past clients, current clients, and anyone else who wants to help me expand my client base and earn while doing so. You don't need to have worked with me before to join.
You can refer any solopreneur or small business who needs a website designed from scratch or redesigned. A reward only applies when the order you refer includes a marketing service — see Reward, below, for how that works. You can't refer yourself — a submission where the referred client's contact details match the referrer's own is not eligible for a reward.
Joining the program gets you a personal referral code. Share that code — not a link — with any solopreneur or small business who needs a website designed from scratch or redesigned. At checkout, there's an optional referral code field, separate from payment details, where they enter it. Entering your code there is what logs the referral tied to you.
Your code only unlocks a reward when the order includes a marketing service — Marketing Design, Social Media Management, Document Design, or Content Calendar. If it's entered on an order that's website design only, checkout shows an error and the code doesn't apply. When it does apply, the referred client also gets 5% off any website design in that same order, automatically, with no extra step on their part.
Referral codes can only be applied at checkout — if it's left blank, no reward can be granted for that order later, even if a claim is made afterwards. When a code is entered and applies, checkout shows your referrer's name and their potential earning on that order, so the client paying can verify it's correct before they pay.
You can check the status of everyone you've referred, along with any rewards earned or in progress, at any time using your sign-in details.
Your code is only attached to a referral once the referred client has paid for my services, so every referral you see starts at In Progress. This means your referral has paid and agreed a scope of work — you'll see their name or business name and your potential earning amount.
A referral moves to Completed once the project has been handed off and officially wrapped up. Only Completed referrals qualify for a reward.
Once a referral is marked Completed, you earn a reward equal to 15% of the marketing-service value of the order the referred client paid for — the marketing-service portion only, not the full order. You can earn as high as ₦200,000 per referred client. There's no cap on how many clients you can refer or how much you can earn.
Rewards are calculated on the amount the client actually paid for marketing services, excluding VAT and Paystack transaction fees, and excluding any website-design spend in the same order.
Your reward covers that referral only — if the referred client comes back later for further work, updates, or a different service, no further referral reward is due to you for that additional payment unless your code is entered again at that checkout.
Once a reward is confirmed, you can nudge me for payment at any time using the "Nudge for Payment" button that will show up when a project is completed, and I'll be in touch within 24 hours. Otherwise, I'll reach out to you using the email or phone number you submitted to arrange payment. Either way, payment is made by bank transfer within 1–3 business days of the referred project being marked Completed.
I may change the reward percentage, eligibility rules, or end the program at any time. If I do, I'll let you know using the email address you joined with. Changes apply to new referrals submitted after the change; any referral already in progress before a change is honoured under the terms that applied when it was submitted.
The program is meant for genuine introductions to people who might actually want to work with me. I reserve the right to withhold a reward, or remove someone from the program, where a referral looks fraudulent, spammy, or submitted in bad faith — for example, fake contact details or referrals submitted without the referred person's knowledge.
Joining the program and submitting a referral means sharing some personal information — yours and the referred client's. How I collect, use, and store that information is set out in my Privacy Policy, which forms part of this policy.
This policy is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you are based outside Nigeria, this does not remove any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the laws of your own country.
