Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to me. This policy explains what information I collect when you use workwithbusayo.com ("the site") or work with me, why I collect it, and what rights you have over it.

For the purposes of data protection law, the person responsible for your information (the "data controller") is Oluwabusayomi Adebayo, operating as Busayo Adebayo. You can reach me at hello@workwithbusayo.com.

1. Information I collect

Information you give me directly. When you download a playbook or resource, I ask for your name and email address. When you contact me or book a call, I collect the details you choose to share, such as your name, email, and information about your business or project.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this site collects basic usage data when you visit, such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. This helps me understand what's useful and improve the site.

2. How I collect it

I collect information in three ways: when you submit it through a form on the site, when you contact me directly by email or a booking link, and automatically through cookies and analytics tools when you browse.

3. Why I use your information, and my legal basis

• To deliver what you asked for, such as sending a playbook or responding to an enquiry. Legal basis: your consent, and steps taken at your request.
• To provide my services once we're working together. Legal basis: performance of our contract.
• To send you relevant updates and offers, where you've opted in. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• To understand and improve the site. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in running and improving my business.

4. Cookies and analytics

This site uses privacy-respecting analytics and observability tools to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use it. These tools may set cookies or use similar technologies to collect the usage data described above. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking them won't stop you using the site.

5. Who I share your information with

I do not sell your information. I share it only with the trusted service providers that help me run my business, and only as far as they need it to do their job. These currently include:

• Notion Labs, Inc. (notion.so), where I store enquiry and signup records.
• Zoom Video Communications, Inc. (zoom.us), for scheduling and booking strategy calls.
• Paystack Payments Limited (paystack.com), to process payments securely.
• Resend (resend.com), to deliver account and reward-related emails, such as Refer & Earn sign-in and status notifications.
• Figma, Inc. (figma.com), for design and creative work.
• Canva Pty Ltd (canva.com), for design and creative work.
• Serif (Europe) Ltd (affinity.serif.com), the maker of Affinity Designer, for design and creative work.
• Vercel Inc. (vercel.com), website hosting and edge delivery, which hosts page content and processes request metadata.
• GitHub, Inc. (github.com), source control and the deployment pipeline for this website.
• Analytics and observability providers, used where needed and only in an aggregated, privacy-respecting configuration that does not identify you individually.

I may also disclose information if required to do so by law.

6. International transfers

Some of the providers above store data on servers outside your country, including outside Nigeria and the UK. Where information is transferred internationally, I take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected to a standard consistent with this policy and applicable law.

7. How long I keep it

I keep your information only as long as I need it for the purposes described here, or as long as the law requires. Enquiry and signup records are kept while there's an active or potential working relationship, and client project records are kept for up to 6 years to meet tax and legal obligations. You can ask me to delete your information sooner, as set out below.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you are based, you have rights over your information, including the right to:

• Access the information I hold about you.
• Ask me to correct information that's wrong or incomplete.
• Ask me to delete your information.
• Object to or restrict how I use it.
• Withdraw consent at any time, where I rely on consent.

To exercise any of these, email me at hello@workwithbusayo.com. I'll respond within the timeframe required by law. If you're in Nigeria, you may also contact the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. If you're in the UK, you may contact the Information Commissioner's Office.

9. Security

I take reasonable measures to protect your information from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but I work to keep your information safe and to use providers that do the same.

10. Children

This site and my services are intended for business owners and are not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

11. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted here with its "last updated" date.
